Dear Mrs. Schoellman's class,

You guys are awesome! I love your haikus and I hope to see you soon as well… Although I guess it won't be for another year yet… I started writing haikus to my family and friends because I think they are more fun sometimes! I hope you thought the same! I got your haikus right before we went out into the Laos jungle and farmland for a three day trek to stay with the minority tribes who live out there. There were three snakes, lots of spiders, and even more leeches! (EW!) Both Andrew and I have colds right now, but we are very happy to sleep in a real bed (not on a bamboo platform) and take showers without an entire village watching us- really! Can you imagine?

Hope you are all having a very happy Halloween! Eat some Reese's peanut butter cups for me!
